Mother’s Day
Have you noticed everyone has had a mother? They are still the only means for us humans entering this world. That places them at the top of the “most important persons” list from my vantage point. They are responsible for giving to us life, and that life is certainly very special. There are so many aspects of motherhood that are vital for each of us in order to become the person God intended us to be. It involves so much more than just bringing us into the world.

Requests for Prayer
- Pray for the upcoming Women of Faith Conference to be held in Des Moines. Pray that all those who attend will be blessed.
- Pray for the 30 days of Prayer and Care a blessing ministry that will be starting in June.
- Pray for the upcoming graduations. Pray for those who are graduating and looking for jobs.

“30 Days of Prayer and Care”
In May, “30 Days of Prayer and Care” will be introduced and will being June 1 and run through the 30th. You will be invited to participate in this ministry of blessing and care for our Firefighters, EMTs, and Police Officers.

Kids Against Hunger
This is a non profit international food relief campaign with a mission to eradicate world hunger and prevent any more children from starving to death.
First Reformed Church members will be given the opportunity to package a rice-soy casserole fortified with 21 essential vitamins and 9 minerals, dehydrated vegetables and chicken flavoring.

Community Happenings
- Are you short on cash at the end of the month? If so, come join us for the free end of the month meals on Monday, April 27 at Trinity Church Activity Center in Pella. Serving from 5:30-6:30 PM. No questions asked and no reservations required. A mission of Trinity Reformed Church.
- TWIST (Trinity Women in Service Together) Evening of Commitment will be Thursday, April 30 at 7:00 PM in the church sanctuary. The speaker with Tamara Scott who is a radio talk show host, a busy mother of young people, and the director of the Iowa chapter of Concerned Women for America. She has been involved with CWA since 2001 and is very active in issues of the state Legislature. Please join us for this inspiring speaker and evening.
